Second NOC conference on environmental protection to be held in June

Tripoli, 20 April 2014:

The second international conference on the role of the oil and gas industry in environmental protection . . .[restrict]will be held in Tripoli on from 17 – 19 June.

Organised by the National Oil Corporation (NOC) in collaboration with the Libyan Oil Institute and the General Environmental Authority, the conference will cover all aspects of the oil and gas industry’s impact on the environment.

Participants will discuss ideas and initiatives to address environmental risks such as air and water pollution, the impact of oil and gas terminals and shipping on ports, beaches and marine wildlife, as well as national climate change initiatives.
