Tripoli, 4 February 2014:
Speaking at Monday’s press conference, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan revealed that his government was on . . .[restrict]the verg of creating a team that will create a plan for weapons collection.
The plan will be for the collection of weapons from all Libyans including the militias, he explained.
The idea was to have a nation that is not “totally armed” with the “streets dominated by weapons”, Zeidan added.
The Prime Minister admitted that it is a long term plan and one that involves the participation of the UN and the international community. The plan will be managed by Libyans specifically qualified for this type of work, he concluded. [/restrict]
