Tomorrow – Sunday – has been declared an official holiday, following Libya’s victory against Ghana in the African . . .[restrict]Nations Championships this evening.
The government announced the holiday in a statement released shortly after the game. It also congratulated the Libyan team on a “historic victory” which saw them beat Ghana 4-3 on penalties.
Across the country celebrations are expected to continue long into the night. [/restrict]
