Tripoli, 7 January 2014:
Four masked gunmen stole LD 42,000-worth of pre-paid phone cards on Monday from a post-office vehicle in . . .[restrict]Twebia area, west of Tripoli.
The gunmen also took the post-office vehicle, leaving the driver and his assistant on the road. However, no one was hurt. in the incident.
“We have taken the necessary measures to stop the pre-paid cards’ validity, so the gunmen can’t use them anymore,” the Deputy of Ministry of Communications, Mohamed Bel Ras Ali, told the Libya Herald.
The phone cards were being sent to the post-offices in Zawiya, Ajilat, Sabratha and Zuwara. Bel Ras Ali added that the ministry has reported the incident to the security authorities immediately in the hope of catching the culprits. [/restrict]
