A delegation of 25 Libyan businessmen visited Expo Pakistan 2013, held on 26-29 September in Karachi, exploring business . . .[restrict]opportunities in various sectors. The visit was organised by the commercial section of Pakistani Embassy in Tripoli.

Libyan companies included those from textiles and clothing, agriculture machinery and auto spars, office equipment, sports goods, foodstuffs, construction material; beauty products and other consumer goods.

Members of the Libyan Businessmen Council of Misrata, headed by Bashir Ibrahim Trabelsi, were also among the delegation.

It met with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry and with Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI). During the latter meeting, an MoU was signed between the Libyan Businessmen Council, Misrata, and KCCI in which both the sides agreed to grow bilateral business cooperation. It was also agreed that KCCI would organise an exhibition of its members in Misrata in collaboration with the Libyan Businessmen Council.

The Libyan delegates said they highly appreciated the hospitality extended to them. A good number of deals were made by the Libyan delegates during the event.

The 8th Annual Expo Pakistan 2013, the biggest expo in the series so far, and inaugurated by the President of Pakistan, was organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan to showcased a complete basket of Pakistan’s export sector with over 1500 domestic and international exhibitors participating in the event.
