Germany’s Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwelle, has called on Libyans to be patient in regard to the . . .[restrict]creation of a stable and secure state.
Speaking after talks today in Berlin with Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed Abdulaziz, Westerwelle nonetheless pledged German support in rebuilding the Libyan economy and establishing democratic institutions.
For his part, Abdulaziz said that Germany would provide help specifically in the healthcare and education sectors as well as rebuilding Libya’s diplomatic skills.
The talks also concentrated on regional issues, in particular the crisis in Egypt. [/restrict]
