Tripoli, 8 April 2013:
Ali Ghatus, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan’s adviser who was seized at a checkpoint . . .[restrict]outside Tripoli on 31 March has been freed. An official at the Prime Minister’s office confirmed to the Libya Herald this evening, Monday, that he had been released but had no further details.
Ghatus was seized while returning from Misrata.
According to a source in the Defence Ministry, he was found in “good condition” on Monday night by forces under the control of the Ministry in one of Tripoli’s suburbs. He is now with his family in Misrata.
The source explained that Ghatus has said that he does not know who kidnapped him and that they were strangers to him. [/restrict]
