The Libyan government agreed on Monday that 18,000 former revolutionaries who have university degrees should be sent to universities abroad to . . .[restrict]gain masters and doctoral degrees.
According to Prime Ministry’s website, the revolutionaries – who are under the auspices of the Warriors Affairs Commission – will be sent in staggered groups. The first 5,000 will go this year. A second group of 4,000 students will head abroad next year 2014, a third of 4,500 in 2015 and the final 4,500 in 2016.
According to Cabinet Resolution No. 166, the duration of studies will be 36 months for a master’s degree and 48 months for a doctorate. The Ministry of Higher Education is to cover all expenses.
