Tripoli, 16 March 2013:
The total number of victims of the alcohol poisoning crisis in Tripoli was 1,044 according to Health Ministry . . .[restrict]spokesman Usama Abdel-Jalil. Speaking today, Saturday, he said that no new cases had been reported in the past couple of days. However, there had been 87 deaths and 15 people were now blind as a result of drinking the methanol-laced spirit.
The death toll could still increase, however. The Libya Herald was informed of the death today of at least one further victim. [/restrict]
