Tripoli, 5 January:
The Ministry of Interior unveiled a new colour scheme for police patrol cars on 1 January after criticism of the old design, which had come on cars supplied by Qatar after the revolution in 2011.
Officials unveiled the new paint scheme at a graduation ceremony for officers at the police academy in Tripoli on New Year’s Day. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Ali Zeidan, head of the General National Congress (GNC) Mohamed Magarief and Interior Minister Ashour Shuwail.
