Paris, 10 January 2013:
Three Libyans were arrested today, Thursday, in Paris after an attack on the Libyan Ambassador, Abuhamoud Alshiabani.
The attack . . .[restrict]took place during a meeting at the embassy in the Rue Chasseloup-Laubat between some 20 war veterans and an official who had asked them in to discuss their medical and accommodation costs.
According to eyewitnesses, three of the men “forced the door of the ambassador’s office” during which he was slightly hurt. He had not been part of the discussions.
The police were called and the three were arrested after the ambassador filed a complaint
Later this afternoon, about a dozen protestors, some in wheelchairs others on crutches demonstrated at a distance from the embassy, kept away from it by the police. [/restrict]
