Tripoli, 26 December:
Security forces in Tripoli have captured a group accused of counterfeiting Libyan visas, arresting three men and seizing passports, currency and ammunition.
Members of 42 Battalion of the Supreme Security Committee (SSC) carried out a raid on an address in the last few days making the arrests and seizing the counterfeiting materials.
The group appears to have made a copy of the plate seal used to print Libyan visas outside the country and smuggled it into Tripoli, and had also made convincing copies of the stamps used on Libyan visa documents.
Members of the group were referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation, security sources told the Libya Herald. [/restrict]
