A leading businessman reported that ‘it was clear from our meetings with our Jordanian counterparts their readiness and eagerness to enter the Libyan market and to participate in the rebuilding of Libya’s infrastructure. However, there was concern about the readiness of the Libyan legal framework in accommodating international companies and facilitating their participation in Libya’.

Libyan participants also reported that during the side meetings of the conference Jordanian capabilities in project management and consultancy were highlighted.

The Jordanians were keen to capitalize on their early support for Libya’s Arab Spring 17th February Revolution in order to give them a competitive advantage in Libya ahead of other competitors. [/restrict]
