Two wrongs don’t make a right

Sir,

As an American, I am deeply frustrated, hurt and embarrased  by the insults and disrespect that a fellow countryman and apparent immigrant hurled . . .[restrict]at  Islam; who also violated the tenets of Christianity that he claims to be part of (but this is not Christian behaviour).

However, the reaction of the perpetuators who killed our Ambassador was just as bad and even a more  inappropriate response to Sam Bacile who created this horrid film that is absolutlely without merit and has no artistic value, and the acting–if you can call it that is also very bad.

I ask, is it not best to allow God to meet out his own punishment to offenders than for others to act for him and murder innocent people who respect and love God? Surely they will be condemned on judgement day by God himself.

Innocent Americans were killed who have done all they can to help Libya and its people. We come in love, respect and friendship for the Libyan people and their welfare.

We ask the Libyan people to recognise that this one stupid man does not represent the United States or the American people and for it to be claimed otherwise is just egregiously wrong.

The American people in general were and are very happy to see that Libya’s dictator would be no more and that the people had the right to freedom and govern themsleves as they deserved to.

We fail to understand why innocent people are injured and murdered when they had nothing to do with this incident. Every country has its goof balls, stupid, ignorant  folks who are bigots who are an embarrassment to the country and the United States is no exception but so do other countries in the Middle East.

Unfortunately, customs vary from country to country as do standards of politeness and what maybe acceptable in one country may not be in another.  Politeness in both Libya and the United States finds Sam Bacile’s behavior unacceptable.  That said before we go on a rampage we must consider the customs of each country.

In the United States, we have freedom to speak freely and to publish freely within the bounds of the law.  Sometimes this allows a stupid, impolite, tiny minority of folks to do things that they should not do or say or do something offensive and in some cases they end up in prison.

If your child misbehaves and insults others –should you be murdered because of this child’s misbehavior who refuses to obey?  I think not, because you have taught the child well but he was rebellious and that is very inappropriate behaviour.

The appropriate behaviour, as I see it, is to take action against the child and hope that it learns the lessons of polite behavior towards others as well as cease its rebelliousness to good manners.

In free countries  such as the United States, there are always people who will abuse the rights given them and often these people are just plain stupid barbarians who have no regards or love for their fellow mankind and refuse to see the otherside of their actions.

Sam Bacile could be placed among such people. He is a gross embarrassment to the people United States and has not learned to use the freedoms given him responsibly.

I cannot nor will not  apologise for Bacile because he has the blood of others on his hands for which one day God will judge him, but I can state that I am very sorry for the offence that Islam has suffered and hope that one day God will meet out to Sam  the punishment he deserves.
