Tripoli, 30 July:

Plans to set up sports centres and entertainment facilities around the country were discussed this morning in Tripoli by . . .[restrict]Juma Shushan, the Undersecretary at the Ministry for Youth and Sport, and a visiting delegation from UNICEF. The plans come within UNICEF’s sports’ development programme.

Meanwhile, the Ministry announced half a million dinars in funding for the Libyan Football Federation. This will come as a welcome boost for the organisation, which had to cancel the first tournament of the season due to lack of funding. [/restrict]
