Egyptians come to celebrate Libyan Revolution

Tripoli, April 5

An Egyptian delegation of politicans, activists and parliamentarians as well as cinema, TV and sports personalities was due to . . .[restrict]arrive on Thursday. They are coming to Libya to mark he first anniversary of February 17 Revolution.

This visit is at the invitation of the Libyan Crisis Management Committee in Egypt and the Libyan National Transitional Council. Dr Mohamed Senussi, the committee’s coordinator in Egypt, stressed the importance of the visit for strengthening ties between Libyans and Egyptians.

The Egyptian delegation will include Chairman of the Legislative Committee of the People’s Council Mahmoud Al-Khodairy, Sheikh Modher Shaheen, former actress A’thar Al-Hakim and Egyptian poet Jamal Bakhit.

Dr Senussi confirmed also that the visitors’ programme will include a number of seminars in different Libyan cities.

It is expected that the visit program would start with a seminar to congratulate the Libyan people’s with the first anniversary of February 17 Revolution.

Tomorrow, Ftiday, the delegation are due to go to Martyrs Square after which they will head to Misrata for an official lunch ceremony followed by a second seminar.

On Saturday the delegation will be in Misrata’s Tripoli Street of Musrata to see the destruction inflicted on the city by Qaddafi’s brigades. A third seminar will be held in Al-Khoms city feting the February 17 Revolution will then be held Khoms.

The following day the delegation will leave for Zintan to attend another seminar and will finally return to Tripoli, where they will participate in another event at the local council of Tajoura district.

They return to Cairo on Monday. [/restrict]
