Grand Mufti visits Makkah

The Grand Mufti of Libya, Sheikh Sadek Bin Abdulrahman Al-Ghariani, is on a visit to Makkah in Saudi Arabia where he has been in . . .[restrict]discussion as with the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Dr Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki.

The Grand Mufti explained the situation of the Islamic Da’wa and its institutions in Libya. He also expressed the desire of the Libyan Fatwa organization to collaborate with the league on advocacy matters as well as with the Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) Academy, a department of the league. He also looked cooperation with theologians and jurisprudence scholars in the academy on a number of issues.  Dr Turki said that both the league and the academy would be delighted to help.

The Secretary-General of the Higher Coordinating Body between Muslim organizations, Dr Mohammad Jamil Khayyat, also attended the meeting.
