INTRODUCTION KBR in Libya is building on an excellent reputation developed over the last four decades working in the oil, water and infrastructure sectors. Balancing engagements with the defence/interior sectors and more traditional hydrocarbon and power sectors, KBR remains committed to Libya for the long term. We are looking for a junior administrative assistant to support our busy office management team; the successful applicant will support the office manager and KBR team in the day to day running of the office but can also expect to support projects as they develop.

ABOUT TEAM/BACKGROUND Kellogg Brown & Root’s IGP’s branch was re-established in Libya in 2012 and was recently been twinned with KBR’s oil & gas branch. With a mixed UK and Libyan staff, the small but growing team is implementing a joint UK-Libyan policing development programme and has a broad range of other projects in the pipeline including city master planning, oil services and education. Fully registered with Libyan authorities, the branch meets Libyan national regulation requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (in support of the Office Manager)
2 The Assistant Office Manager will deputise for the Office Manager when the Office Manager is out of the office and undertake other appropriate tasks as required by the General Manager.

REPORTThe successful applicant will report directly to the office manager or general manager in their absence

Essential Skills / Experience
MS Word, Excel, PPP, Collating, registering and storing complex files Flexibility, responsiveness and resilience. Fluent Arabic and English language skills (reading, writing and speaking)
Desirable Skills / Experience SAP Previous work in a multinational environment and experience of water and power sectors
