Sirte Oil And Gas Company.

Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company announced the restart of the Second methanol plant and entering the actual production phase. This came after a successful trial operation period that proved the readiness of the plant and the efficiency of its operational systems.‎

‎Explosion of natural gas heater in 2018 had halted operations
The factory had stopped working since 10 March 2018 as a result of the explosion of the natural gas heater. The company said that it has been taking the necessary technical and engineering steps to return it to work since then, believing in the importance of this vital industrial facility in supporting the national economy and increasing the added value of natural gas.‎

‎New UK manufactured heater purchased
A new heater manufactured in the United Kingdom was imported. Despite the great challenge faced in transporting this huge piece of equipment weighing more than 60 tons, the company said it was transported, installed and operated in difficult conditions by local cadres by March 2025.‎

‎Sirte Company said it is also optimistic about the operation of the First methanol plant ‘‘in the coming days’’.
